Beginner Friendly Alignment Yoga

This class is well-suited for those who are new to yoga, as well yogis who are interested in learning more about an alignment based practice. The class will be offered most Sundays through the end of September and is relatively gentle in nature, but cues will be offered for those seeking a deeper variation and more core engagement. 

Maggie Mowery is a certified Alignment Yoga instructor, as well as a certified Hatha Yogas instructor. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching since 2017. Maggie is particularly proud of the fact that she is a certified Alignment Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Sanctuary School.

Native Garden Design and Build Workshop

Gain the basic native garden skills and hands-on experience of converting a section of lawn into viable habitat to support critical wildlife species. The first half of this workshop will explore the fundamentals of ecological site prep and plant placement, based on the plant species’ sociabilities. The remainder will be a hands-on installation of the group’s crafted native garden design.

Participants will be given free native landscape plugs. 

Elyse Jurgen, owner of Waxwing EcoWorks Co., works alongside homeowners in a participatory approach to their gardening for wildlife needs, infusing educational opportunities during the design, installation, and management process.

Yoga and Meditation

Yoga for any age or ability. No experience necessary—all are welcome. Celebrate the season change, Mother Earth, and (most importantly) yourself with grounding movements and affirmations.

Jagadharti, aka Kelly Morris is Homefields lead farm hand. She’s also an experienced, enthusiastic instructor with an amazing education that includes Yoga, meditation, and functional movement. She believes that living our best lives is all about our hearts being open to love and kindness.

Tickets are required by pay what you can—suggested minimum $10. All proceeds benefit Homefields and are tax-deductible!
